SALC Training Registration Track A

Invitation to Organizations Supporting Socially Disadvantaged Farmers, Ranchers, and Tribes in Land Conservation Efforts:

Technical Assistance providers for the Department of Conservation will be hosting a three-part training series on how organizations that support socially disadvantaged farmers, ranchers, and Tribes can access funding from the Sustainable Agricultural Land Conservation (SALC) program.

Trainings will be limited to 25 participants and held via Zoom.

The first two sessions are planned for 10am-12pm on April 23rd and 24th. The third session will be scheduled for a later, to-be-determined time.

Sessions will be a combination of information sharing, peer exchange, and interactive workshop-style segments.

Participants are expected to attend all sessions and complete small preparatory exercises.

Please register by April 8th. If space allows, more than one member of an organization may attend.

The California Strategic Growth Council approves all SALC funding awards and oversees implementation of SALC by DOC.

California Dept. of Conservation (DOC) administers SALC and is the official point of contact for all SALC-related inquiries.

SALC is funded by California Cap-and-Trade Proceeds to support greenhouse gas emissions reductions.
